Za regulaciju napona i jalove snage u prijenosnim mrežama koriste se različiti kompenzacijski uređaji (poprečne prigušnice i kondenzatorske baterije, statički VAR kompenzatori i ostali FACTS uređaji). Sve češće koriste se i regulacijski transformatori s uzdužnom regulacijom, čija je uloga održavanje napona u određenom dijelu mreže. Various compensating devices (shunt reactor and capacitor batteries, static VAR compensators and other FACTS devices) are used to control voltage and reactive power in transmission networks.
