Abstract

Osnovni cilj ovog rada je analiza prednosti i nedostataka nuklearnih elektrana. Pitanje budućnosti nuklearne energetske opcije u Europi je postavljeno kao sekundarni cilj. U samom radu dan je kratak osvrt na općenite principe i status nuklearne energije. Analizirane su prednosti i nedostaci nuklearnih elektrana s energetskog, ekonomskog i sa stajališta utjecaja na okoliš.Razmotrena je nuklearna opcija u Europi tijekom povijesti, sadašnjosti te je dana analiza budućnosti. Zaključak je da nuklearna energija ima više prednosti nego mana te da će imati važan utjecaj u Europi i svijetu u budućem energetskom miksu.

Abstract (english)

The main goal of this paper is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear power plants.The future of nuclear energy option in Europe is set as a secondary goal. In the paper a brief review of the general principles and status of nuclear energy is given. Advantages and disadvantages of nuclear power plants are analize from energy, economical and environmental point of view. Nuclear option throughout history and present is examined and analysis of nuclear option in future is given. The conclusion is that nuclear energy has more benefits than drawbacks and that will have a significant impact in Europe and in the world's future energy mix.
