Abstract

Ovaj završni rad se bavi izgradnjom jednostavnog ugradbenog računalnog sustava čija je zadaća pretvorba ulaznog zvučnog signala korištenjem FFT algoritma i prikaz rezultata na programski upravljanoj LED traci. Sustav se temelji na razvojnoj pločici ESP-32, modulu s mikrofonom MAX4466 koji služi za čitanje ulaznog zvučnog signala i LED traci WS2812B na kojoj se prikazuje energija zvučnog signala kao rezultat obrade signala FFT-om. Osim ovih komponenti, u izgradnji ovog sustava korištene su dvije biblioteke, arduinoFFT i FastLED. Biblioteka arduinoFFT sadrži funkcije za obradu zvučnog signala pomoću algoritma FFT, dok biblioteka FastLED sadrži funkcije za upravljanje LED trakom WS2812B. U radu je opisan algoritam FFT, komponente ugradbenog računalnog sustava i njihovo spajanje, postavljanje programskog kruženja Arduino, rad s korištenim bibliotekama i tijek izvođenja programa. Na kraju rada su navedeni prijedlozi za proširenje funkcionalnosti sustava.

Abstract (english)

This bachelor thesis contains instructions on how to build a simple embedded computing system whose task is to transform the sound signal entering the system using the FFT algorithm and show the results on a programmable LED strip. The components on which the system is based are the ESP-32 development board, module with a microphone which is used to read the sound input signal and WS2812B LED strip on which the energy of the signal is shown. Other than the afore mentioned components, two programming libraries where used in constructing the system, arduinoFFT and FastLED. FastLED library is used to control the WS2812B LED strip and the arduinoFFT library is used for transforming the input signal using the FFT algorithm. The chapters of this paper describe the FFT algorithm, components used in building the system and connections between them, setting up Arduino IDE, working with FastLED and arduinoFFT libraries and the course of program execution. At the end of the paper, suggestions are given on how to expand the functionality of the embedded computing system.
