Abstract

Ovaj rad obrađuje implementaciju sustava koji omogućava promjenu konfiguracije filtra FIR, tokom rada, i teorijsku pozadinu filtara FIR. Filtri FIR se koriste u digitalnoj obradi signala i imaju široku primjenu. Njihova karakteristika je ostvarenje različitog ponašanja ovisno o konfiguraciji. Frakcionalni Hilbertovi transformatori su jedna moguća primjena filtara FIR koja pokazuje mogućnost filtriranja različitih frekvencijskih područja i faznog pomaka koji ovisni o faznom pomaku transformatora.
Sustav implementiran u ovom radu baziran je na sučelju AXI-Lite koja ima čestu i široku primjenu. Za ostvarenje konfigurabilnosti filtra FIR sučelje AXI-Lite je prilagođeno dodavanjem RAM-a i upravljačkih registara koji omogućavaju upravljanje filtrom FIR. Također su napravljene izmjene filtra FIR koje omogućuju upis koeficijenata tijekom rada. Implementiran je i omotač za FIR koji upravlja prijenosom koeficijenata iz sučelja AXI-Lite u filtar FIR i povezuje te dvije komponente. Pripadajući implementirani upravljački programi daju korisniku fleksibilnost prilikom izrade vlastite aplikacije kao što je pokazano implementiranom aplikacijom.
Testiranje sustava je obavljeno implementacijom simuliranog sustava u programskom okruženju Matlab i usporedbom podataka dobivenih iz simulatora i iz implementiranog sustava. Testiranje i usporedba podataka su pokazali odlično ponašanje implementiranog sustava.

Abstract (english)

This paper deals with the implementation of a system that allows to change the configuration of the FIR filter, during operation, and the theoretical background of the FIR filter. FIR filters are used in digital signal processing and are widely applicable. Their characteristic is to realize different behaviours depending on their configuration. Fractional Hilbert transformers are one possible application of the FIR filter which demonstrates the possibility of filtering various frequency ranges and perform a phase shift dependent on the phase shift of the transformer.
The system implemented in this paper is based on the AXI-Lite interface that has a common and wide usage. To achieve configurability of the FIR filter, the AXI-Lite interface is customized by adding RAM and control registers that enable FIR filter management. The FIR filter has been modified so that it allows the coefficient to be entered during operation. A FIR wrapper has been implemented for control of the transfer of the coefficients from the AXI-Lite interface to the FIR filter and it also connects the two components. The drivers implemented for the system give the user the flexibility to create their own application as demonstrated by the implemented application.
System testing was performed by implementing a simulated system in the Matlab programming environment and comparing the data obtained from the simulator and the implemented system. Testing and comparing the data showed that the implemented system works great.
