Abstract

Vibracije iz okoline mogu se prikupiti i pretvoriti u električnu energiju na temelju četiri različita principa: piezoelektričnom, elektromagnetskom, elektrostatskom i magnetostriktivnom. Najčešće se koriste ili elektromagnetski jer takvi generatori mogu dati veću izlaznu snagu od ostalih nabrojenih, ili piezoelektrični zbog jednostavnosti izrade strukture konzole koja sadrži piezoelektrične materijale i koja se lako integrira u mikroelektroničke sustave. Piezoelektrični efekt je pojava generiranja električnog naboja na površini određenih kristala, a nastaje kao posljedica deformacije nekom vanjskom silom. Prikupljači energije kalibrirani su na svoju rezonantnu frekvenciju i na njoj postižu najveću efikasnost stoga je potrebno poznavati karakteristike sustava koji vibrira kako bi se mogle učiniti potrebne prilagodbe da se postigne željeni rezultat.

Abstract (english)

Vibrations from the environment can be harvested and converted to electricity using four different types of transductions: piezoelectric, electromagnetic, electrostatic and magnetostrictive. The most common vibration energy harvesters are based either on electromagnetic principle because the output powers produced by electromagnetic generators are greater than the others listed above, or on piezoelectric principle due to the ability of piezoelectric materials to be easily fabricated and integrated with microelectronic systems. Piezoelectricity is the ability of certain crystals to generate voltage when a corresponding mechanical stress is applied. Energy harvesters are usually calibrated to their own resonant frequency in which they accomplish maximum efficiency therefore it is necessary to know the characteristics of the vibrating system so that desired results can be achieved.
