Abstract

Sustav upravljanja baterijama provjerava stanje i štiti ćelije u bateriji. Njegova najvažnija zadaća je zaštititi bateriju te zabraniti njezino djelovanje izvan sigurnog raspona rada, dok je druga najbitnija zadaća maksimizirati kapacitet iste baterije korištenjem jedne od metoda balansiranja ćelija. U ovom je radu opisan način izrade i princip funkcioniranja primarne funkcije BMS-a što je zaštita baterija. Prikazan je postupak spajanja Arduino Mega s LTC6804-2 mikrokontrolerom te je objašnjen princip rada LTC-a. Nadalje, za sve to je izrađen kôd kojim se upravlja izrađenim sustavom te plan ugradnje u električno golf vozilo čije je stare olovne baterije trebalo zamijeniti novim, litij-ion baterijama.

Abstract (english)

The battery management system monitors and protects the cells of the battery. Its most important task is to protect the battery and prevent its operation outside the safe operating range, and the second most important task is to maximize the capacity of the same battery using one of the methods that balances cells. This paper describes the process of constructing and the principle in which the primary functions of BMS operate such as battery protection. The procedure of connecting the Arduino Mega with LTC6804-2 microcontroller is shown and the working principle of LTC explained. Furthermore, the code for the functionality of this system is presented along with the plan of installation in electric golf cart in which the old lead-acid batteries should be replaced with new, lithium-ion batteries.
