Abstract

Analiza performansi izuzetno je bitna metoda prilikom izrade softverskih sustava. Ovaj diplomski rad opisuje proces izrade alata za analizu performansi sučelja koje implementira protokol Diameter. Sh sučelje HSS-a odabrano je kao subjekt testiranja za potrebe rada. Prikazana mjerenja pokazuju mogućnosti razvijenog softwera. Pokazano je kako vrijeme odziva testirane HSS implementacije pokazuje eksponencijalni rast sa povećanjem intenziteta prometa. Ustanovljeno je kako procesi zaduženi za upravljanje memorijom uzrokuju znatni pad performansi ispitanog sustava.

Abstract (english)

Performance analysis is a process vital to system development and deployment. This thesis describes the development of a Diameter interface performance testing tool. The testing was conducted on the Sh interface of the Home Subscriber Server which is a key component of LTE. Performed measurements illustrate the utilization of the developed software. The determined HSS response time exhibits an exponential growth as the arrival rate increases. It was determined that the garbage collection process creates significant issues in the HSS performance.
