Abstract

U ovom radu opisani su arhitektura i mogućnosti Yocto okoline za izgradnju distribucije Linux operacijskog sustava. Opisani su postupci uključivanja postojećih i novih sklopovskih platformi u Yocto okolinu te proces stvaranja, konfiguriranja i izgradnje vlastite distribucije operacijskog sustava Linux. Prikazan je postupak stvaranja i uključivanja novih recepata i slojeva u Yocto okolinu. Opisani su glavni dijelovi Linux jezgrenog modula te postupak njegovog dodavanja u Yocto. U sklopu rada su implementirane ogledne aplikacije, koje iz stvorene distribucije putem upravljačkih programa pristupaju LED diodama na GPIO izlazu te su one isprobane na BeagleBone Black i Intel Edison platformama.

Abstract (english)

This thesis provides an overview of the architecture and features of Yocto, an environment for the building embedded Linux distributions. The procedures of including the existing and new hardware platforms in the Yocto environment have been described, along with the process of creating, configuring, and building custom Linux distributions. The procedure of creating and including new recipes and layers into Yocto has been described. The main parts of Linux loadable kernel module and the process of its inclusion into Yocto have been described. Sample applications that control LEDs via GPIO have been created from custom built Yocto distribution, and tested on BeagleBone Black and Intel Edison platforms.
