Abstract

Razvitak zrakoplovne industrije u zadnjih 20-ak godina premašio je mnoga očekivanja te je danas broj dnevnih letova premašio brojku od sto tisuća. Razvijena tržišta kao što su Europa i SAD bilježe najveći promet i konstantan rast, dok Bliski istok i Azija tek očekuju ogroman porast letova te nagli razvitak zrakoplovne industrije. Trenutni broj pilota u svijetu ne zadovoljava sadašnje potrebe i već je sada veliki problem u zrakoplovstvu deficit iskusnih i stručnih članova posade. Uz daljnji pritisak tržišta za još većim povećanjem dnevnih letova, manjak pilota rezultirat će povećanjem pilotskih dužnosti. Iako dio zrakoplovnih kompanija i dalje sa skepsom gledaju na proces upravljanja rizikom umora, očito je da trenutačno stanje nije održivo i da je rješenje prijeko potrebno.
U sklopu ovog rada napravljena je mobilna aplikacija koja je dio sustava za upravljanje rizikom umora. U rješenju se koriste najmodernije tehnologije s naglaskom na nosivu tehnologiju. Nosiva tehnologija koristi se za prikupljanje moždano-fizioloških parametara pilota te se na osnovu tih podataka, u stvarnom vremenu, procjenjuje njegovo psihofizičko stanje odnosno umor. Trenutni algoritam koji procjenjuje umor napravljen je na osnovnoj razini i služi kao kvalitetna početna točka za eventualni daljnji razvitak u znanstvenom smjeru. Svi prikupljeni podaci sinkroniziraju se sa centralnim poslužiteljem te su vidljivi kroz web aplikaciju iFlight.
Osim procijene umora, pilotu je omogućen uvid u njegov dnevni raspored, te detaljan prikaz svakog leta uz specijalizirana meteorološka izvješća. Dodatno, uz svaki let moguće je jednostavno ispuniti eventualna sigurnosna izvješća koja se također sinkroniziraju sa centralnom bazom podataka.
Mobilna aplikacija mPilot zajedno s web aplikacijom i centralnim poslužiteljem čine jedan sustav za upravljanje rasporedom pilota i rizikom umora.

Abstract (english)

The development of the aviation industry in the last 20 years has exceeded many expectations, and today the number of daily flights surpassed the number of one hundred thousand. Developed markets such as Europe and the United States have the highest air traffic and constant growth, while the Middle East and Asia are still expecting huge increase in number of flights and rapid development of the aviation industry. Current number of pilots in the world does not meet the present needs and the deficit in experienced and professional air crew is already a big problem in aviation. With further growth of air traffic duo to market demands, the pilot shortage will result an increase in pilot duties. Although some airlines are still sceptical about the fatigue risk management system, it is obvious that the current situation is not sustainable and that a solution is necessary.
The main goal of this thesis was building mobile application as a part of fatigue risk management system. The decision was made to use the most modern technology with a focus on wearable technology. Wearable technology is used to collect brain and physiological parameters of the pilots. Collected data is used to estimate mental and physical condition and fatigue of the pilot in real time. Current algorithm for estimating fatigue is made at the basic level and serves as a good starting point for possible further development in scientific direction. All collected data is synchronized with a central hosted server and are visible through a web application iFlight.
Besides fatigue estimation, the pilot is given full view of his daily schedule, and detailed overview of each flight with specialized meteorological reports. In addition, for each flight pilot can easily fill up possible security reports which are also synchronized with the central database.
Mobile applications mPilot with the web application and the central hosted server constitute a single system for scheduling pilots and fatigue risk assessment.
