Abstract

Uvodno su opisane tehnologije strujanja višemedijskog sadržaja s naglaskom na tehnologiju prilagodljivog strujanja putem protokola HTTP (engl. HTTP Adaptive Streaming, HAS). Definirana je iskustvena kvaliteta te opisani neki parametri koji utječu na iskustvenu kvalitetu kod HAS-a. Testiran je pristup više simultanih klijenata jednom HAS-poslužitelju preko zajedničke veze ograničene propusnosti. Zatim je opisan algoritam raspodjele mrežnih resursa za klijente koji istovremeno pristupaju istom HAS-poslužitelju koji se temelji na određenim parametrima iskustvene kvalitete te metaheuristici simulirano hlađenje. Razvijen je simulator pomoću kojeg se ispitao predloženi algoritam.

Abstract (english)

In this paper technologies of multimedia streaming have been described, with a focus on HTTP Adaptive Streaming (HAS). Quality of experience (QoE) has been defined. Some parameters influencing QoE have been specified. Simultaneous streaming of three HAS clients has been tested. Then the Network Resource Allocation Algorithm was described. The algorithm is based on described parameters and metaheuristic simulated annealing. The simulator of the algorithm, which tests the suggested algorithm functionality, has been implemented.
