Abstract

U Svijetu živi preko 841 milijun ljudi starije životne dobi i oko 15% osoba koje s invaliditetom provedu gotovo 12% vlastitog života. Rezultati dosadašnjih analiza prikazuju nepoznavanje poteškoća specifičnih skupina korisnika web usluga i nedovoljnu upotrebu web pristupačnosti u oblikovanju web sadržaja. U radu je opisana razvijena web aplikacija za edukaciju o važnosti prilagođenog dizajna weba. Aplikacija, implementirana u praktičnom dijelu rada, zasnovana je na analizi pogrešaka u web dizajnu koje onemogućuju korisnike u pristupu željenim ICT uslugama te na ispravnim implementacijskim rješenjima prema WCAG 2.0 smjernicama. Uz oblikovanje pojedinih mehanizama za prilagodbu sjedišta weba individualnim potrebama korisnika, prikazani su predlošci prilagođenog dizajniranja učestalih elemenata web stranica pomoću tehnologija: HTML, CSS i JavaScript. Temeljni cilj rada je povećati osviještenost o važnosti prilagođenog web dizajna kroz simulacije poteškoća specifičnih korisnika pri upotrebi neprilagođeno oblikovanih elemenata sjedišta weba.

Abstract (english)

Today, there are over 841 million elderly people and over 15% people that spend almost 12% of their lives with disabilities. Results of previous analyses showed impaired knowledge on difficulties encountered by specific web service users and insufficient use of web accessibility in the design of web content. In this work is described a developed web application for sensibility training on accessible web design. The application, implemented in the practical part of this work, is based on analysis of web design mistakes that disable users to access the desired web services and usage of implementation solutions based on WCAG 2.0 guidelines. This thesis focuses on common used mechanisms for adapting websites to individual user's needs and templates of accessible web design of frequently used web page elements using the following technologies: HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The aim of this thesis is to increase the awareness of the importance of accessible web design through the simulations of user's difficulties using non-adapted elements of websites.
