Abstract

U okviru rada napravljena je simulacija mreže temeljene na protokolu IEEE 802.15.4. u programskom okruženju Omnet++ po uzoru na arhitekturu u uslugama prisutnosti. Simulacijom se ispitala potrošnja energije pojedinih entiteta, odnosno poslužitelja, mrežnog prilaza i osjetila te se usporedila s analognom simulacijom u agentskom simulatoru M2M iz relevantnog rada. Uloga je poslužitelja prikupljanje podataka pomoću mrežnih prilaza spojenih na njega, dok svaki mrežni prilaz služi kao posrednik između skupa osjetila i poslužitelja. Sa svrhom uštede energije na osjetilima, u njihov je životni ciklus periodički je uvedeno stanje spavanja u kojem se troši vrlo malo energije i za vrijeme kojeg je osjetilo nedostupno. Prilikom inicijalizacije, osjetila dojavljuju vremena svoje dostupnosti mrežnom prilazu te temeljem njih mrežni prilaz osigurava nepromijenjeno ponašanje poslužitelja, te se brine da osjetila primaju upite isključivo u budnom stanju.
Analizom rezultata dobivenim iz niza pokretanih simulacija u alatu Omnet++ može se zaključiti da oni potkrepljuju teze postavljene pomoću agentskog simulatora M2M.

Abstract (english)

As a part of this thesis, a simulation of network based on IEEE 802.15.4. protocol was implemented in a simulation environment Omnet++ and modeled by the architecture of presence service. The simulation was used to examine the energy consumption of each entity in the network which are sever, gateway and sensor. The simulation was compared with the simulation in M2M agent simulator from the relevant work. The role of the server is to collect the data using its gateways, while each gateway is a middleware between the set of sensors and the server. To reduce the amount of consumed energy on sensors, a sleep state is periodically introduced into their life cycle during which the consumption of energy is very low and sensor becomes unavailable. During the initialization, sensors send the data about their availability to the gateway which stores the data and uses it later to keep the behavior of the server unchanged and to schedule the future queries during the sleepless periods only.
The results from several Omnet++ simulations confirm the hypothesis set by the M2M agent simulator.
