Abstract

Pojačalo se uglavnom sastoji od uređaja za pojačanje, ulazne i izlazne prilagodne ili priključne mreže. Pojačalo treba pojačati signal bez dodavanja šuma ili distorzije signala. Idealno, pojačalo neće uopće dodati šum i izobličiti signal. Cilj dizajniranja pojačala je minimizirati dodani šum i distorziju signala za vrijeme pojačanja amplitude signala. Kompromis u dizajnu omogućava postizanje najboljih performansi određenog aktivnog uređaja. Ovaj diplomski rad pokriva osnovne koncepte dizajna mikrovalnih pojačala, projektiranje i simulaciju pojačala. Pojačalo je projektirano s GaAs HEMT tranzistorom, uz ulaznu i izlaznu prilagodnu mrežu te ulaznu i izlaznu prilagodnu mrežu za napajanje. Pojačalo je optimizirano s obzirom na faktor šuma, pojačanje i stabilnost.

Abstract (english)

An amplifier circuit consists mainly of a gain device or devices, and input and output matching or coupling networks. The amplifier should make weak signals larger without adding too much noise or distortion. Ideally, the amplifier would add no noise and would not distort the signal in any way. Electronic devices are not ideal however, and thus degrade the signal to some degree. The amplifier design objective is to minimize the noise added and the distortion created while increasing the amplitude of the signal. Design trade-offs allow one to obtain the best possible performance from a particular active device. This master thesis covers the basic concepts of design microwave amplifiers, design and simulation of the amplifier. The amplifier is designed with GaAs HEMT transistor, with the input and output matching network and input and output bias matching network. The amplifier is optimized considering noise figure, gain and stability.
