Abstract

Mjerenje vizualne kvalitete od temeljne je važnosti za brojne aplikacije za obradu slike i videa. Svrha istraživanja u području ocjene kvalitete slike je osmišljavanje algoritama koji mogu automatski procijeniti kvalitetu slike na sličan način kako ju percipira ljudski vizualni sustav. More percepcijske kvalitete uključivanjem modela ljudskog vizualnog sustava ili mjerama točnosti signala. U ovom diplomskom radu pažnja je usmjerena na mjere za procjenu kvalitete slike koje problemu kvalitete slike pristupaju kao problemu točnosti vizualne informacije u kome se kvantificira gubitak informacije u degradiranoj slici i traži veza između informacija o slici i vizualne kvalitete. U radu je dan pregled postojećih mjera za objektivno vrednovanje kvalitete slike te su objašnjene značajke mjera koje se temelje na određivanju točnosti i vjernosti vizualne informacije. Razrađena je mjera (VIF) kojom se točnost vizualne informacije procjenjuje usporedbom zajedničke informacije koja postoji u izobličenoj i referentnoj slici s informacijom koja postoji samo u izvornoj slici. Implementirani algoritam za procjenu kvalitete slike utemeljen na razrađenoj mjeri testiran je na TOYAMA bazi slika te uspoređen s ostalim obrađenim mjerama za ocjenu kvalitete slike. Iz rezultata je pokazano da je VIF mjera točnija i preciznija od ostalih testiranih mjera.

Abstract (english)

Visual quality measurement is fundamental to a number of image and video processing applications. The purpose of research in the field of image quality assessment is to develop algorithms that can automatically similarly assess image quality as it is perceived by the human visual system. Image quality assessment algorithms interpret image quality as fidelity or similarity to a reference or original image. In this thesis, attention is focused on methods for assessing image quality that approaches the problem of image quality as a problem of visual information accuracy in which the loss of information in a degraded image is quantified and the connection between image information and visual quality is sought. The paper provides an overview of existing methods for objective evaluation of image quality and explains the features of methods based on determining the accuracy and fidelity of visual information (VIF). A measure has been developed to assess the accuracy of visual information by comparing the common information that exists in the distorted and reference image with the information that exists only in the original image. The implemented image quality assessment algorithm based on the developed measure was tested on the TOYAMA image database and compared with other processed measures for image quality assessment. The results show that the VIF measure is more accurate and precise then all other tested measures. Less
