Abstract

U ovom radu se opisuje problem globalne optimizacije te se fokusiramo na jedan od mnogih modela za optimizaciju, optimizacija temeljena na konsenzusu. Model je baziran na skupu agenata koje međusobno komuniciraju kako bi se na kraju došlo do konsenzusa, tj. točke koja je globalni minimum funkcije. Ponašanje skupa agenata je opisano skupom diferencijalnih jednadžbi. Nadalje, ulazi se u problematiku rješavanja sustava diferencijalnih jednadžbi te u metode diskretizacije vremena u svrhe stvaranja iterativnog algoritma koji simulira rad ovog sustava. Algoritam je tada testiran na standardnim optimizacijskim testovima kako bi se utvrdila učinkovitost modela.

Abstract (english)

This thesis describes the problem of global optimization by focusing on one particular optimization model, named the consensus-based optimization (CBO). The model is based on a swarm of agents that communicate amongst themselves in service of the end goal, that being the formation of a consensus which would represent the global minimum of the function. The evolution of the swarms movement is described by a system of differential equations. Furthermore, the problem of solving such differential equations is described, and methods of discretization are implemented by which an algorithm for simulation is constructed. The algorithm is then tested on standard optimization test functions to estimate the models efficiency.
