Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je prikazati način na koji bi se smanjilo opterećenje zdravstvenih sustava u području radiologije te pomoći radiolozima u njihovom radu u ranom prepoznavanju raka pluća iz CT slika pluća. U tu svrhu napravljene su dvije neuronske mreže, jedna za segmentaciju, a druga za klasifikaciju CT slika pluća. Mreža za segmentaciju napravljena je po uzoru na U-Net arhitekturu i postiže vrijednost dice koeficijenta od 79.98% dok je za zadatak klasifikacije korištena GoogLeNet mreža koja postiže vrijednosti f1 mjere od 86% za mrežu koja nije predtrenirana te 91% na predtreniranoj mreži.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this paper is to show the way to reduce the burden on healthcare systems in the field of radiology and to help radiologists in their work in the early recognition of lung cancer from lung CT images. For this purpose, two neural networks were created, one for segmentation and the other for classification of lung CT images. The segmentation network is modeled after the U-Net architecture and achieves a dice coefficient value of 79.98%, while the GoogLeNet network was used for the classification task, which achieves f1 values of 86% for the non-pretrained network and 91% for the pretrained network.
