Abstract

Detekcija pada je ključna za sigurnost u različitim sigurnosnim sustavima i tehnologijama. Jedan od mogućih senzora koji se koristi za tu svrhu je altimetar. Altimetar je instrument koji se koristi za mjerenje nadmorske visine ili promjene visine u odnosu na referentnu točku.
Kada se altimetar koristi za detekciju pada, njegova svrha je pratiti promjene visine osobe ili
objekta i identificirati nagle padove ili padanje. Altimetri koriste različite tehnologije za mjerenje
visine, a jedna od najčešćih metoda je mjerenje atmosferskog tlaka. Tijekom slobodnog pada,
brzina pada dovodi do promjene atmosferskog tlaka. Altimetar može otkriti tu promjenu i koristiti je kao signal za identifikaciju pada.
Korištenje altimetra za detekciju pada ima razne primjene. Može se primijeniti u sigurnosnim
sustavima zgrada ili vozila kako bi se otkrili nagli padovi ili padanja i poduzelo odgovarajuće
mjere sigurnosti. Također se može koristiti u sportskim uređajima ili opremi za aktivnosti na
otvorenom kako bi se pružila dodatna sigurnost korisnicima. Kada altimetar detektira nagli pad ili padanje, mogu se aktivirati mjere poput zvučnih alarma, aktiviranja zračnih jastuka ili čak
pozivanja hitne pomoći.

Abstract (english)

Fall detection is essential for safety in various safety systems and technologies. One of the possible sensors used for this purpose is the altimeter. An altimeter is an instrument used to measure altitude or change in altitude relative to a reference point.
When an altimeter is used for fall detection, it's purpose is to track changes in a person's height or object and identify sudden falls. Altimeters use different technologies for measurement of
height, and one of the most common methods is the measurement of atmospheric pressure. During free fall, the falling speed leads to a change in atmospheric pressure. The altimeter can detect this change and use it as a signal to identify the fall.
The use of an altimeter for fall detection has various applications. It can be applied in security building or vehicle systems to detect sudden drops or falls and take appropriate action security measures. It can also be used in sports equipment or equipment for activities in the
open to provide additional security to users. When the altimeter detects a sudden drop or fall, measures such as audible alarms, deployment of airbags or even calling an ambulance.
