Abstract

U okviru ovog završnog rada izrađena je demonstrativna umrežena videoigra pucanja
iz prvog lica u Unityju koristeći Netcode for GameObjects biblioteku. Opisani su povijest,
vrste i arhitektura videoigara za više igrača s naglaskom na umrežene videoigre. Prikazan
je proces izrade videoigre u Unityu preko skripti pisanih u C#-u s konkretnim primjerima
koda koji se bavi umreženim aspektom videoigre i funkcijama iz Netcode for GameObject
biblioteke. Također je detaljno opisano postavljanje projekta u Unityu, rad sa Network
Manager komponentom, prednosti i mane izračuna funkcija na poslužitelju i serveru te
rad s animacijama. Na kraju je dan osvrt na projekt i potencijal za njegovo proširenje.

Abstract (english)

As part of this final project, a demonstration first-person shooter (FPS) networked
video game was developed in Unity using the Netcode for GameObjects library. The his-
tory, types, and architecture of multiplayer video games were described, with a focus
on networked video games. The process of developing the video game in Unity was il-
lustrated through scripts written in C# with concrete code examples dealing with the
networked aspects of the game and functions from the Netcode for GameObjects library.
The project setup in Unity was also described in detail, along with working with the Net-
work Manager component, the advantages and disadvantages of executing functions on
the server, and working with animations. Finally, a review of the project and its potential
for expansion was provided.
