Abstract

Općeniti model protokola TCP koji je potpuno točan i jednostavan ne postoji. Potrebno je dobro proučiti modeliranje i simulaciju TCP mreže kako bi shvatili dinamiku protokola TCP. Ovaj rad uspoređuje analitičke modele protokola TCP i rezultate dobivene u simulatoru ns-2. Modeli dugačkih prijenosa podataka međusobno su uspoređivani i analizirani, dok je model proizvoljne duljine prijenosa podataka uspoređivan sa rezultatima simulacija. Modeli pokazuju dobro predviđanje propusnosti protokola TCP u različitim uvjetima mreže.

Abstract (english)

General TCP protocol model that is entirely precise and simple does not exist. It is necessary to study TCP network modeling and simulation in order to understand the dynamics of TCP protocol better. The objective of this thesis is to compare predicted results of analytical models to the results of ns-2 simulations. Long-lived flows are analyzed and compared one to another , while model of arbitrary-length data transfer is compared to simulation results. Models demonstrated good prediction results over simulation results in various network enviroments.
