Abstract

Cilj rada je opisati algoritme i tehnike korištene pri izgradnji jednog programa za računalno igranje šaha. U radu se opisuju obilježja algoritama i prikazuje njihov princip rada nad pokaznim primjerima. Rad je fokusiran ponajviše na program implementiran u sklopu rada, no također se nude i opisi stvari koje nisu nužno vezane za ovu implementaciju. Abstract (english)

The goal of this paper is to describe algorithms and techniques used for implementing an advanced chess engine in Java. This paper provides detailed description of used algorithms and their usage is demonstrated on appropriate examples. The paper focuses mostly on the implementation done in the scope of this thesis, however there is some extra information provided that isn't implemented in this engine. The paper also shows experiments used to evaluate success of the implementation. For... More purposes of evaluating the success with those experiments, a couple of positions, which occurred in the games of real, human players, were collected from the lichess.com platform and analysed using the implemented engine. Chess engine was designed and implemented with similar technologies and algorithms used in other such projects.
