Abstract
U ovom radu provedbom dimenzijske analize proučavam značajne pojave prilikom simuliranja kretanja elektrolita u električnom i magnetskom polju. Za postavljeni problem iz Navier-Stokesove jednadžbe s Lorentzovom silom izvodim slabu formulaciju koristeći IPCS shemu te pišem program koji koristeći biblioteku FEniCS metodom konačnih elemenata simulira evoluciju sustava kroz vrijeme. Rezultate simulacije usporedio sam s pokusom koji je proveden u sličnim uvjetima.
Abstract (english)
This thesis uses dimensional analysis to investigate the significant effects in simulating the motion of an electrolyte in electric and magnetic field. Weak form of Navier-Stokes equation with Lorentz force is derived using the IPCS scheme for the posed problem and a program which uses the FEniCS library to simulate the evolution of the system through time is written. The results of simulation are compared to an experiment conducted in similar conditions.
