Abstract

U ovom radu opisana je izrada mobilne aplikacije za praćenje stanja redova u studentskim menzama s ciljem rješavanja svakodnevnog problema dugačkih redova u menzama s kojim se suočavaju studenti. Aplikacija je izrađena za Android i iOS platforme koristeći Flutter razvojni okvir, a za potrebe aplikacije razvijeni su baza podataka te pozadinski servis koji omogućuje komunikaciju s bazom podataka.
Aplikacija omogućava korisnicima pregled dostupnih menza u odabranom gradu studiranja kao i detalja pojedine menze poput radnog vremena, informacija o trenutnom stanju reda, prijavu duljine reda te personalizaciju iskustva kroz dodavanje omiljenih menzi. Također, implementirana je funkcionalnost primanja svakodnevnih obavijesti o stanju redova u menzama u definirano vrijeme ručka.
Sve u svemu, ova aplikacija pruža korisnu uslugu studentima, unapređujući njihovo svakodnevno iskustvo i omogućavajući im da bolje planiraju svoje posjete menzi.

Abstract (english)

The thesis describes the development process of a mobile application for monitoring queue lengths in student canteens, with the aim of addressing the daily problem of long canteen queues faced by the students. The application was developed for Android and iOS platforms using Flutter development framework, and for the needs of application, a database and a backend service for communication with the database have also been developed.
The application offers users to view available canteens in the chosen city of study and the details of each canteen such as working hours, information on the current queue status, the ability to report the queue length, as well as personalized experience by adding favorite canteens. Additionally, the functionality of receiving daily notifications about canteen queue status at defined time of lunch has also been implemented.
All things considered, this app provides a useful service to students, enhancing their daily experience and enabling them to plan their canteen visits better.
