Abstract

Razvojem snažnih računalnih komponenti kao što su procesori za obradu digitalnog signala i FPGA sklopovi omogućena je upotreba mnogih radijskih funkcionalnosti preko odgovarajuće programske podrške. To je osnovni koncept tehnologije bazirane na programski upravljivim primopredajnicima.
U ovom radu opisana je GSM tehnologija s posebnim naglaskom na novitete u fizičkom sloju i osnovni principi rada programski upravljivog primopredajnika. Koristeći platformu USRP 2920 realizirani su odašiljač i prijamnik koji rabe GMSK modulacijski postupak, uz korištenje određenih postavki fizičkog sloja definiranog normom za pokretnu mrežu druge generacije.

Abstract (english)

With the development of powerful computational resources such as Digital Signal Processors and Field Programmable Gate Arrays, it has become possible to utilize many radio functions via software. This is the main concept of a technology based on Software Defined Radio.
This paper describes the GSM technology, with particular emphasis on new features in the physical layer and the basic principles of Software Defined Radio. Transmitter and receiver that uses GMSK modulation are realized using the platform USRP 2920, by using certain settings of physical layer defined in standard for second-generation cellular networks.
