Abstract

Razvoj elektronike i informatike omogućio je simulaciju i ugađanje parametara regulatora. U ovom je radu iskorištena ta mogućnost kako bi se pokazalo računalno ugađanje parametara regulatora primjenom evolucijskih strategija. Proces koji je izabran u ovom radu je složeni, nelinearni proces. Na temelju matematičkog modela procesa napravljena je simulacija procesa na računalu. Za simulaciju procesa na računalu koristio se programski alat Matlab i Simulink. Regulatori koji su izabrani za vođenje procesa su višepoložajni regulator, PID regulator i neizraziti regulator. Svaki od njih ima svoje specifičnosti i različitosti u ponašanju. Također su izrađeni matematički modeli za višepoložajni regulator, PID regulator i neizraziti regulator na temelju kojih je napravljena i njihova simulacija na računalu. U programskom alatu Simulink izrađena je simulacija sustava proces-regulator na temelju njihovih matematičkih modela. Metoda koja se koristila za ugađanje parametra tih regulatora je evolucijska strategija i koristila se kod svih regulatora. Tako ugođeni parametri uspoređivali su se s empirijski ugođenim parametrima. Na temelju provedenog ispitivanja i dobivenih rezultata može se zaključiti da se evolucijske strategije mogu djelotvorno i praktično koristiti kao metode ugađanja parametara regulatora. Kako su izabrani regulatori vrlo različiti s obzirom na način rada može se na temelju toga zaključiti da bi se ugađanje parametara regulatora pomoću evolucijske strategije moglo upotrebljavati i za druge tipove regulatora. Posebno treba naglasiti da koristeći metodu evolucijskih strategija za ugađanje parametara regulatora nije potrebno poznavati posebne metode koje se koriste za njihovo ugađanje. To u praksi omogućuje ugađanje parametara regulatora osobama koje nisu vješte u različitim, ponekad i vrlo zahtjevnim, formalnim postupcima optimiranja. To je, uz mogućnost računalnog automatiziranja procesa optimiranja, najveća prednost opisanog postupka.

Abstract (english)

The development in electronics and information science has brought about the possibility of simulations and adjusting controller parameters. This thesis exploits the possibility to present computerized parameter adjustment employing evolution strategies. The process chosen is a complex, non-linear one. A computer simulation is made using a mathematical model of the process. Software tools Matlab and Simulink are used in simulating the process. Multiposition controller, PID controller and fuzzy logic controller are selected to control the process. Each of them has some specific characteristics and peculiarities in behavior. Mathematical models are also made for multiposition controller, PID controller and fuzzy logic controller, and used as a basis for computer generated simulation. Process-controller system simulation is made on the basis of their mathematical models, using the Simulink software. Evolution strategy is the method used to adjust parameters of these controllers, and is used for each of them. The parameters thus adjusted are compared with empirically adjusted ones. Investigations performed and results obtained indicate that evolution strategies can be efficiently and practically used as methods for adjusting controller parameters. As the controllers selected vary widely in the manner of their functioning it can be concluded that that parameter adjustment employing evolution strategies could also be used for other types of controllers. It should be noted that the implementation of evolution strategies in adjusting controller parameters does not require familiarity with special methods used for their adjustment. In practice, it means controller parameters can be adjusted by persons not skilled in different, often highly demanding and formalized optimization procedures. This is, beside the possibility of computerized automation of the optimizing procedure, the most important advantage of the procedure described.
