Abstract

U završnom radu analizira se hipoteza jedinstvenosti obilježja nosnice. Drugim riječima, traži se odgovor na pitanje razlikuju li se svake dvije osobe na temelju značajki njihovih nosnica. Pretpostavka se analizira na način da se obrađuju slike iz baze koja je prethodno stvorena slikanjem nosnica ljudi. Potom se izdvajaju krivulje nosnica te se matematički opisuju. Konačno, primjenjuje se izračun Granlundovih koeficijenata koji nam nude bitne informacije o obliku tih nosnica. Osim samog dokazivanja hipoteze, razvijen je i računalni program koji ima mogućnost detekcije konture nosnice na slici.

Abstract (english)

The final paper analyzes the hypothesis of uniformity characteristics of the nostrils. In other words, paper seeks for answer to the question on whether two people differ on the basis of characteristics of their nostrils. The assumption is analyzed on process images from a database that was previously created by photographing nostrils. After that, the extraction of nostril curvature is done and has been mathematically descripted. Finally, the applied calculation of Granlund coefficients presents essential information about the form of these nostrils. In addition to the proof of the hypothesis, a computer program that has the ability to detect the contours of the nostrils in the picture was developed.
