Abstract

Način zbrinjavanja radioaktivnog otpada bitan je faktor gospodarstva svih zemalja svijeta. Zemlje Europske unije su obvezne ravnati se istim prema odrednicama Direktive Vijeća 2011/70/Euratom od 19. srpnja 2011. o uspostavi okvira Zajednice za odgovorno i sigurno zbrinjavanje istrošenog radioaktivnog otpada, (SL L 199, 2. 8. 2011.). Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti način primjene direktive u određenim zemljama Europske unije. Pažnju smo tako posvetili Španjolskoj, Slovačkoj, Sloveniji, Mađarskoj, Finskoj, Njemačkoj te Francuskoj, te zaključili kako su navedene zemlje uspješno provele odredbe direktive. Susjedne zemlje Republike Hrvatske (uglavnom nisu članice EU), pokazale su se kao prilično nemarne prema RAO-u. Brojne izuzev neposjedovanja adekvatnog odlagališta, ne mogu sa sigurnošću ustvrditi lokacije zaostalog RAO-a. Također je bilo potrebno istražiti stanje u Republici Hrvatskoj iz čega smo uvidjeli njenu potrebu za adekvatnim skladištem.

Abstract (english)

The way of disposal radioactive waste is an important factor of the economy of all countries in the world. European Union countries are obliged to comply with the provisions of Council Directive 2011/70/Euratom of 19 July 2011 establishing a Community framework for the responsible and safe management of spent fuel and radioactive waste. The aim of this paper was to explore the way in which the directive was applied in certain European Union countries. Most of our attention was paid on Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Finland, Germany and France, we concluded that the above mentioned countries successfully implemented the provisions of the directive. The neighbouring countries of the Republic of Croatia (mostly non-EU members) have proved to be rather inadequate to radioactive waste. Great number of them can not with security state the locations of the remaining radioactive waste. It was also necessary to explore the situation in Republic of Croatia, from which we perceived its need for an adequate warehouse.
