Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad prikazuje razvoj analitičkog sustava koji se koristi za analizu poslovanja tvrtke koja se bavi proizvodnjom i prodajom automobila.
Proces razvoja se sastoji od više koraka. Prvi korak je analiza podataka i korisničkih zahtjeva. Prvi korak je ujedno i ključan korak, vrlo je bitno jako dobro razumjeti zahtjeve i poslovnu logiku klijenta kako bi se mogao implementirati optimalan sustav. Na osnovu analize korisničkih zahtjeva je izgrađen model, tj. baza podataka koja će sadržavati podatke u odgovarajućem obliku potrebnom za brzu i učinkovitu analizu. Nakon toga je implementiran ETL proces kojim se podaci učitavaju u skladište podataka. Implementacija ETL procesa je najzahtjevniji i najdugotrajniji dio izgradnje analitičkog sustava. U konačnici su se implementirale pohranjene procedure koje se pozivaju od strane aplikaciju te šalju podatke za prikaz.

Abstract (english)

This thesis covers the development of an analytics system utilized to provide business analysis of a car manufacturing and sales company.

The development process is comprised of several steps. In the first step, user requirements are gathered and supplied data is analysed. This first step is the most crucial one as having a very clear understanding of client request and the underlying business logic is necessary in order to implement an optimal system. The model, or more precisely the database, is constructed based on those user requirements, which ensures that it has all the necessary data and in the appropriate format needed for fast and effective analysis. After that task was accomplished an ETL process, which loads the required data into the data warehouse, was implemented. Implementing the ETL process is the most time-consuming and the most demanding (complex) part of creating an analytics system. The last step of the process is implementing stored procedures that send data that users will see, those procedures are invoked by the application.
